Library Facilities and Highlights


The college library spans 750 Sq. mt. and is fully computerized to offer modern library services. Key features include:

A comprehensive collection of resources:

  • 24,107 books covering various disciplines.
  • 1,936 reference books for in-depth academic support.
  • 2,500 CD-ROMs, 55 floppies, and 35 audio cassettes for multimedia learning.
  • Subscription to 142 national and international journals and 43 leading magazines, keeping students and faculty updated with the latest knowledge and trends.
  • Archival resources include 515 back volumes of journals and magazines, enriching the research repository.
  • Specialized air-conditioned reading room furnished for a comfortable and conducive study environment.

  • Each academic department maintains its own specialized collection of books for enhanced subject-specific learning.
  • A dedicated PG Section with a focused collection of advanced resources for postgraduate students.
  • A competitive exam section providing study materials for:
    • BEC (Business English Certificate)
    • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
    • GRE (Graduate Record Examination)
    • GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) – for all branches
    • UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) exams

Library Timings

The library will remain open on all working days from 9:30Am to 4:30Pm

Membership

All students, teaching, and non-teaching staff are eligible for library membership.

Recalling Borrowed Books

The Librarian reserves the right to recall any book at any time, even if the loan period has not expired, in case of high demand.

Returning the Library Card

Members must return their Bar Coding Library Card upon leaving the college, either at the completion of the course or due to discontinuation for any reason.

Lost Cards

If a Bar Coding Library Card is lost, members must report it to the Librarian immediately.

A duplicate card will be issued for a fee of Rs. 100/- after verifying the loss. Members will be responsible for any books borrowed using the lost card.

Book Handling and Accountability

Borrowers are responsible for any loss or damage to the books issued to them.

The date slip and number label inside the books must not be tampered with.

Stock Verification

Members must return all borrowed books during stock verification, as notified by the Principal, for annual inventory checks.

Reference Materials

Reference books, digital materials, and copies of university examination question papers will not be lent out.

Borrowing Policy

Books will be issued to members only against their Borrower’s Bar Coding Library Card.

Borrowing limits
  • B.E./B.Tech. students: 3 books.
  • PG students: 5 books.

The Bar Coding Library Card must be kept securely by the cardholder and is non-transferable. Members will be held responsible for any book borrowed using their card.
